I began at Life Quest because of severe back pain and numbness in my arms and hands.  At the time I was unable to walk for more than a block without having to rest because of pain.  I couldn't prepare meals without having to sit due to pain.  I was unable to sew because I couldn't hold onto a needle because of the numbness in my hands.  I was unable to do most of my housework because of the pain.  After having adjustments and massage I have improved so much.  I can now walk up to 40 minutes without pain.  I am able to cook and clean without back pain and many things I had given up, including embroidery, I can now do again.  I can't say enough good things about Life Quest!  I came here depressed because I had given up so much in my life due to the pain and thought I would just have to live with it.  Thanks to Life Quest, I have my life back again!

I first came to Life Quest because of tingling & numbness in both hands/fingers and plantar fascitis in my left heel.  Before chiropractic I couldn't sleep through the night, had severely limited movement in my neck and my foot hurt all day at work.  I had tried ice, ibuprofen, topical rubs and braces with no help. 

Chiropractic is AMAZING!  The doctor took time to explain my condition and showed my x-rays of the neck and back.  Within a few visits of adjustments and exercises I am finally regaining my neck movement, sleeping all night, have made great progress with my hands and foot, and I have a lot more energy.

On Friday, July 31^st my son David was seen by Dr. Mike Powell.  We were in Alexandria for a hockey tournament and my son had been complaining of pain and stiffness in his neck.  He was in discomfort but was willing to play in the tournament.  After 2 games, it was apparent that David’s injury was affecting the way he played the game.  He was unable to compete at the level he would have liked to.   At the recommendation of our family friend we went to Life Quest Chiropractic to see if an adjustment would help David.  After an exam, X rays and a thoughtful conversation to relieve my son’s anxiety about being at a chiropractor, Dr. Powell made 2 adjustments to my son.  He felt instant relief.  Dr. Powell allowed David to continue in the tournament but he was to avoid body contact if possible.  With the adjustments made by Dr. Powell, David was able to contribute to his team’s effort.  In the first 2 games with the pain and stiffness, David was held without a point.  In the 2 games after his adjustment, David had 5 points (2 G, 3 A) and helped the team earn the Championship of Hockey Fest 2009.

My life before going to Life Quest wasn’t very enjoyable. I was in a lot of pain most of the time. It was to the point that some days I didn’t even want to get out of bed and live. I was having a lot of problems with my neck, middle back and lower back. I would experience severe headaches quite often and could hardly use my right arm at times.
